A: IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) emits light flashes that target the melanin in the hair. This heat travels down to the hair follicle, gradually weakening it and reducing regrowth with each session. The result: progressively finer hair, leading to a visible and lasting reduction.

Q: Is KuvaFlash™ painful?

A: No. Most users feel a slight warmth or tingling during the flash, comparable to a gentle flick of an elastic band on the skin. The intensity is adjustable, allowing you to start gently and gradually increase it according to your comfort level.

Q: Which areas can it be used on?

A: KuvaFlash™ is suitable for legs, underarms, arms, bikini line, stomach, and face (below the chin only). It should not be used on areas around the eyes, eyebrows, scalp, or on areas with moles, tattoos, or skin irritations.

Q: How many sessions does it take to see results?

A: The first results (slower regrowth and finer hair) are usually visible after 3 to 4 sessions. For significant and lasting reduction, it is recommended to have one session per week for 8 to 12 weeks, followed by a monthly maintenance session.

Q: Is my skin and hair type compatible?

A: IPL technology works best on dark hair and light to medium skin tones. It is less effective on white, grey, red, or very blonde hair, as these contain little melanin. It is not recommended for very dark skin (phototype VI) due to the risk of skin overheating.

Q: Do I need to shave before using KuvaFlash™?

A: Yes, it is essential to shave the area to be treated 24 hours before the session. The flash must target the hair root under the skin, not visible hair on the surface. Do not wax or pluck in the days leading up to the session.
